FAQ
Gray Zone Warfare is an open-world tactical extraction FPS where you complete missions and fight to survive solo or with a squad. You play as a PMC operator in Lamang, earn reputation, secure loot, and uncover the truth behind the Event. Choose Joint Operations for PvE or Warfare for PvEvP.
The official name is Gray Zone Warfare. Grayzone Warfare, Grayzonewarfare, and Grey Zone Warfare are search spelling variants of that name.
In 0.5, you can create up to four operators, each tied to a faction and a game mode. You cannot have two characters with the same faction and mode combination at once. Your account name must be unique. Character names do not need to be globally unique, but your own characters must have different names. To play in another faction, create a new character in the Operator selection menu. You can delete one character per week.
You can customize your character's clothing with apparel items, including Twitch Drops shirts, gloves, trousers, boots, and patches. These appearance items can be claimed on all your characters and carry over through progression wipes. When transferring a character from 0.4 to 0.5, you also choose that transferred character's appearance and name.
Female PMCs are not currently planned. The team says it is prioritizing core features and polishing the game experience.
